Web Professional Survey – Call for Participation!

Dear Web Professional Colleagues,

WebProfessionals.org (aka the World Organization of Webmasters) has a 17 year history of supporting practicing professionals and those that teach. To better support practicing and aspiring Web professionals including teachers we are working to keep web-related occupational classifications up to date. At the request of the U.S. Department of Labor, we will continue to support the O*NET (Occupational Information Network) initiative as an important and primary source of occupational information. O*NET.

O*NET is taking steps to update two occupational classifications that are important to the Web profession:

* Web Administrators
* Web Developers

Why is this important?
* Results will help support Web professionals everywhere
* Teachers and schools that teach Web professional topics need a guide to focus their curriculum strategies
* Students need an integrated career pathway program that is based on web-based science and technologies and that maps to employer demand

What we need from you:
For industry professionals:

1. WebProfessionals.org 2014 Web Professional Survey
Please take the 2 minute WebProfessionals.org 2014 Web Professional Survey located here http://goo.gl/QMfvBY. Participants will be eligible to win a Samsung Galaxy Note.

2. U.S. Department of Labor Study
We have been asked to identify members with expertise in these occupations to provide feedback on tasks, knowledge areas, work context factors, and activities. We would like to forward your name and contact information to the O*NET researchers at RTI International (Research Triangle Institute) and they, in turn, will invite a random sample to provide input via questionnaires to keep information about these classifications accurate and up-to-date. A Certificate of Appreciation from the U.S. Department of Labor and $40 in cash will be included with the questionnaires as a token of thanks. If you will help with this effort, please contact us by completing the form on the secure contact us page.

Web Professional Educator 2014 Survey:
