The Web Design & Development Supervisor is responsible for successfully leading a team of 10 or more Designers comprising our Web Design team. These are custom web designers fulfilling template and full custom websites for small to medium sized businesses. Customer businesses range from ecommerce solutions integrated with Network Solutions Ecommerce or 3rd party carts and full custom sites with flash and database elements. In addition this Manager would oversee an offshore team of web designers responsible for do it for me template design solution. The right leader has the potential to identify product gaps, strategize with various teams within the organization to launch new products and initiatives and analyze productivity metrics to help the team continuously improve.
Coach and develop Web Designers to improve design skills, product knowledge, and productivity gaps. Ensure efficient time management of design team achieving desired work time and churn goal! Meet and exceed productivity objectives. Train and on-board new designers with the support of Network Solutions Trainers, and be responsible for ongoing coaching and training on new products, industry trends and processes. Manage and analyze key metrics utilizing reporting provided by reporting analyst. Monitor and track designer individual performance, strengths and weaknesses, and be able to clearly communicate evaluations and execute developmental steps (Performance Improvement Plans).Continuously stay abreast of product development within the company (as well as kept abreast of industry trends) and conduct ongoing training with the Design team. Report and verify productivity measures and customer experience. Interface with various groups within the company to improve process and customer service goals. Actively support, at all times, company policy and best practices in the area of security, with special emphasis on the protection of sensitive customer information.
Participate in other duties/projects as assigned.
Skills: 6+ years Design experience with bachelors (masters preferred )3 or more years managing design professionals Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel and be able to learn other software applications quickly.
